You’ve heard me gush over Wendi Wilson’s debut novel, Shadowed Strength. So you can imagine my giddiness that she’s already releasing the sequel! It’s called Shadowed Instincts. I was one of a select few that got a sneak peek at this one, and I have to say it’s nothing short of wonderful. I’ve been reading more non-fiction writing books to ramp up for nanowrimo. For those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about, Nanowrimo stands for “National Novel Writing Month,” and it lasts for the month of November. Nanowrimo.org is where you go to sign up – it’s free, it’s fun, and it’s a great way to motivate you to write that novel you’ve been thinking about. You update your progress on the website, with the goal being at least 50,000 words. Thousands of people around the world participate, there are online and sometimes even in person groups you can meet up with. I have fun every year I do it, even if I don’t reach my goal.

This year, I want to finish Connected 2. I’ve already got 60,000 words or so, but a lot of it has to be reworked since I changed the ending. Plus I need to add some subplots, further flesh out the plants for book three, and edit the hell out of it. 🙂
