So excited, it’s less than a week now for launch date, still set for 6/3. Little bummed the trailer’s not ready for it, but I’m not sure how much exposure that would’ve been anyway – youtube’s pretty crowded these days, and I doubt it would’ve made much competition against the latest kitty video. My publisher lined up some blog tours, hopefully a couple of reviews will be posted… I think I’m in a good place.
I guess what’s got me more nervous than anything is how it will be received. Will people get it, meaning click with it and really enjoy it? Will they understand the underlying message I was trying to convey? Or will it get crucified because it’s not the same as everything else out there, or not different enough? I get that it’s all subjective, and I’ll likely see a bit of both, which I’m okay with. Just as long as I get a couple of people who click with it, I’ll be happy.
It may not be groundbreaking, but it’s my story, one I’ve taken years to really polish. I’m ecstatic to finally be able to share it with the world, and change from being a writer to being an author. 🙂
No one can compete with cute cat videos! I think people need to give the book a chance. I’ll get a copy and recommend it.
